My story, some history, and the origination of Common Sense Health Products…
My name is Doug Huseby and I am the founder and owner of Becker Furniture World (BFW), for over 30 years, and Common Sense Health Products.
I recently transformed my furniture business into a complete home center where I was recognized for reinventing the home improvement industry – basically I put everything needed to build and decorate your home under one roof. From shingles, to furniture, to pools, faucets and fireplaces – it’s truly a one stop shopping experience!
In order to maintain competitive in that market I had to continually re-evaluate all aspects of business. For the last 20 years I worked to manage the health costs of BFW along with improving the wellness of our employees. While this was happening, my mother unnecessarily slipped between the cracks in the health care system and as a result died following a surgery. I felt her death could have been avoided if there would have been complementary medicine or therapies provided…living through this really gave me the momentum and passion to seek out solutions that could provide personalized care focused on preventative and alternative choices. Since that time I’ve put together an amazing team and we developed an innovative corporate health and wellness program which included years of testing high-tech health care options and numerous natural health products, including dietary supplements, herbals, homeopathics, etc… As a result, we launched an online store to provide high quality choices for wellness products. Our dietary nutritional products are pharmaceutical grade and our personal care and home and cleaning products are focused on being eco-friendly and organic.
That’s my little story of how Common Sense Health Products came to be and why I became so energized by the possibilities of helping you, your colleagues and loved ones.
